Donna Sue Wells

Donna Sue Wells, 57, Frankfort, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.  She was born in Danville, IL on December 23, 1964, to Dave and Joan (Brooks) Sherrill.  She married Randy Wells on April 28, 1984. He survives.

Donna was a 1983 graduate of Danville High School and earned an Associate Degree from Danville Area Community College.  She worked for AlphaNet, where she helped people that had Alpha-1 Disorder, a disorder she had herself, by supplying information, informing of medication options, and being a support to hundreds of people each month.

She was a member of Faith Family Church, the women’s Bible Study, and Frankfort Garden Club.  She was very active in 4-H where she judged many events and visited many county fairs.  She volunteered at the Indiana State Fair and Clinton County Humane Society.  She was a lover of animals, fostering many dogs, and owning horses, llamas, and rabbits.  She especially was fond of her horse, Walker.  She enjoyed scrapbooking, genealogy, camping, boating, riding wave runners, going to the beach and being with her family.

Along with her husband of 38 years and her parents, Donna is survived by her children, Nick (Jessica) Wells and Mackenzie (Patrick) Burton; sisters, Debbie (Matthew) Ward and Jennie Sherrill; and grandchildren, Michael, Kayleigh, James, and William Burton, Chloe and Aiden Wells.

Visitation will be held, Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 11am until the time of the service at 1pm at Faith Family Church.  Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Attica.  Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort is assisting with the arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made in Donna’s honor to Alpha One Association, Crosswinds Equine Rescue, Tri-County Trap and Release, or Clinton County 4-H.  Messages of condolence may be left at www.gendafuneralhome.com.
