Dorotha Jane Wolf

Dorotha Jane Wolf (96) was born to Jesse and Pearl (Patrick) Wolf on October 31, 1925, near Flora, Indiana.  Dorotha answered the call to come Home to Glory on Sunday, May 15, 2022, having given her life to the Lord as a young adult.  She placed her membership with the Old German Baptist Brethren Church.  Later she became a charter member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, New Conference, at Cutler Ridge, Indiana.

In 1929, she moved with her parents to Modesto, CA.  After a little over a year, they moved back to Indiana where Dorotha attended school and church near Burlington, later moving to Flora, followed by most of her adult years living in Pyrmont.

Dorotha spent most of her career as a God-gifted flower arranger.  Many local brides called upon her for wedding flowers.  She added her special touch arrangements to various other occasions, including the meal tables for the Cutler Ridge Church.  Her talented hands also spent many winters making comforts for charities and homemade candy.  Seldom would she arrive somewhere without a gift for the hostess.  Dorotha thought the best of life and people.  Singing with a joyful tempo, music and travel were other much-loved activities.

Surviving are two siblings, her sister Marjorie Miller of Amboy, Indiana, and her brother David Wolf of Rossville, Indiana.  Also surviving are many nieces and nephews with fond memories of Aunt Dorotha.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Martha Wolf; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Calvin Wagoner; sister-in-law, Joy Wolf; and brother-in-law, Maurice Miller; nephew, Gerald Wolf; and niece, Marty Wolf.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from 10 am to 12 pm at Cutler Ridge Old German Baptist Brethren Church.  A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at North Fork Cemetery.  Genda Funeral Home in Rossville is assisting with the arrangements.
