Dorotha May Arnold

Dorotha May Arnold, 92, of Frankfort, Ind., passed away June 15, 2023 at Mulberry Health.  She was born on June 3, 1931 in Frankfort to James Edward and Martha Jane (Meeks) Leach.  She married Herbert E. Arnold on August 31, 1951 and he preceded her in death on August 8, 1991.

Dorotha was a 1949 graduate of Frankfort High School and was a homemaker.  She was a member of New Life Assembly of God and the Eagles Auxiliary.  She enjoyed reading, cross stitching, working puzzles, watching NASCAR, drinking root beer, and storytelling – but above all, she loved Jesus, her church, and her children and grandchildren!

Surviving are her Children: Lorraine Chafin of Lafayette, Joyce (Robin) Reed of Frankfort, Earl Arnold of Frankfort, David “Tony” Arnold of Stockwell, Mandi (Brandon) Brody of Lafayette; Brother: Willard Leach of Frankfort; Grandchildren: Lisa (Rob) Reppert of Romney, Tosha (Pat) Hankins of Delphi, Jarod Chafin of Lafayette, Brandon Chafin of Lafayette, Jay Arnold of Lafayette, Aaron Arnold of Stockwell, Dustin Heavilon of Logansport, Corra Cochran of Ft. Myers, FL, Jeremy Jay (Freedom) Heavilon of Mitchell, Angelica Heavilon of Rossville, Kristina Brody of Lafayette, Cory Shields-Brody of Lafayette, Justyn Brody of Lafayette, and Myranda Brody of Lafayette; Great-Grandchildren: Kayla, Hunter, Zach, Emme, Briana, Raelyn, Quinn, William, Genesis, Romeo, and Aiden.  She was preceded in death by her husband, son: Herbert Bryan Arnold, daughter: Ruby Eaton, grandson: Bradford Eaton, sister: Esther Sue Bicknell, and son-in-law: Fred Chafin.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 E. Clinton Street, Frankfort.  Friends may visit 4 – 7 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will follow services in Kilmore Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made in Dorotha’s honor to the Frankfort Community Public Library, 208 W.
