Downed Power Lines, Tree Limb Road Hazards, Power Outages Sweep Across Clinton, Boone, Carroll Counties Friday Evening

Reports are rolling in regarding downed power lines and tree limbs on the road across Clinton, Boone and Carroll counties as the storm sweeps through this evening, Friday, May 24.

Reports have been received that possible downed live power lines have been located in numerous towns, and community members are encouraged to avoid driving until the damage can be cleared.

Around 501 residences are experiencing a power outage in the Colfax and Clarks Hill area, 7 in Dayton, around 13 in Mulberry, and 109 in the Middlefork area as of 6 p.m. on Friday, May 24 according to Duke Energy.

Estimated times of restoration range into the later hours of the evening with most expecting restoration before 10 p.m.

Possible downed live power line in West Mulberry on Jefferson Road.

Tree down south of Rossville across State Road 39.
