Edna J. (Litherland) Pedigo

Edna J. Pedigo, 93, of Frankfort, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025, at Clinton House Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.  She was born February 1, 1932, in Tell City to Vernon and Emma (Mosby) Litherland.  She married Donald C. Howell and then married Jack Pedigo.  He preceded her in passing on June 21, 1994.

Edna worked as a CNA for home healthcare before working for Wesley Manor until she turned 82 years of age.  She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and enjoyed making wreaths and decorations, cooking and making candy and was known for her cherry cheesecake.  She also enjoyed making dolls and playing Yahtzee and bingo.  She was always willing to give of herself and help others as she could.  She loved her Lord and Savior and her family.

Edna is survived by her son, Donald V. Howell; grandchildren, Bryan (Hollie) Howell, Charles “Chip” Douglas, Cynthia Douglas, and Christopher (Vicki) Winchester; brother, Meryl (Leonna) Litherland; great grandchildren, Lauren Howell, Reid Douglas, Jade Winchester, Alexie Matteson, and Amarrie Matteson; great-great grandchildren, Milo and Scout; and she was a bonus mother and grandmother to her late companion “Cookie’s” family as well as many others.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Bob, Ralph and George; her companion, Bronar D. “Cookie” Cook.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 2pm at Green Lawn Cemetery.  Day & Genda Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.  Pastor Matthew Flenar will officiate.  Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
