Frankfort High School sophomore Elijah Anthony is making his second trip to the state wrestling tournament following his performance in the New Castle Semi-State over the weekend.
Anthony won his first two matches at 113 over Chris Gardner of Tri and Logan Carrender of Lawrence North by major decisions to earn his trip to state. In the semifinals, Anthony defeated Dylan Driver of Westfield 11-6 to advance to the finals where he was defeated by the number-one ranked and two-time state runner-up Alex Cottey of Perry Meridian.
Anthony will carry a 41-4 record into the state tournament.
