
Ethel graduated from Laramie High School in 1960 and attended Kelsey Jennings Business College in California after her service in the Navy. She served in the US Navy from 1960 to 1966 as a Navigation Log Yeoman. Ethel enjoyed being a homemaker and operated a Dog Obedience School for over 15 years. She was a dedicated member of the NRA. In her free time Ethel would often be found chatting with others in the Flora Senior Center and playing bingo.
She is survived by her special friends and caretakers, Mark (Brandy) Pinkard and their daughter, Brooke Mason; stepdaughter, Dr. Ellen D. Riggle of Lexington, KY; sister, Patricia Blacker of Colfax and brother, Jimmy Doke of Lebanon.
Along with her husband and parents, Ethel is preceded in death by her brothers, Bill Doke, Junior Doke, Wayne Doke, Wilbur Doke, and sister, Betty Watkins.
Visitation will be held at 11am until the time of the service at 1 pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home – Reinke Chapel, with Pastor Brad Burton officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
