Evelyn Louise Bennett, 78, of Frankfort, IN, passed away January 18, 2026 at her home. She was born April 23, 1947 in Frankfort to Roy Marshall & Thelma Fern (Baughman) Bennett.
Evelyn was a 1965 graduate of Frankfort High School. She had worked at Harmesons, Federal Mogul, Walmart in Illinois and Stolle Manufacturing. Evelyn enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Erika (Jim) Baka of Naperville, IL, daughter, Lisa Warren of Frankfort, grandchildren, Brody Bowen of Frankfort, Brant (Jamie) Bowen of Frankfort, Matthew Baka of Naperville, Ashley Baka of Scottsdale, AZ, Zachary Baka of Naperville, step-granddaughter, Jerri Ottinger of Frankfort, 2 great grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son, John Bowen Jr., step-grandson, Brady Ottinger, brother, Dennis Bennett, sisters, Helen Cooper, Marie Ann Crum and half-brother, William Weber.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. -12 Noon, Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will begin at 12 Noon Saturday at the funeral home.
