Events Cancellation List Monday, March 16 7 A.M.

The following is a list of events and schools that have been cancelled, closed or postponed due to the concerns about the corona virus pandemic:

  • Frankfort Kiwanis has announced that its Pancake Breakfast has been postponed until Saturday, October 3, from 6:30-10 a.m. at the Clinton County Fairgrounds. It was originally scheduled for May 2.
  • In addition, the Kiwanis have suspended all regular meetings until further notice.
  • The Clinton County Chamber of Commerce has announced that the Frankfort Rotary Italian Buffet is being postponed to October. It was originally scheduled for Friday, April 3, at the Clinton County Fairgrounds.
  • The Chamber has also announced that the Legislative Breakfast scheduled for Saturday, March 21, will be held at the Clinton County Family YMCA since Wesley Manor is closed. The breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m.
  • Wesley Manor is closed until further notice
  • Community Schools of Frankfort, Clinton Central, Clinton Prairie and Rossville Schools will all close Monday, March 16 and plan to open back up on Monday, April 6.
  • St. Matthew Preschool in Frankfort is closed. Will re-evaluate April 3.
  • Find Your Brave Event for all youth in Clinton County scheduled for April 18 is canceled.
  • Howard County Schools (Eastern, Northwestern, Taylor and Western) will be closed beginning Monday, March 16 and will remain closed the end of spring break.
  • Lebanon Community Schools, Western Boone Schools and Zionsville Community Schools are closed.
  • Lebanon and Zionsville are closed through
  • March 27 when spring break begins in both districts.
  • Western Boone is closed through March 20. Spring break is scheduled from March 23-27 and it will be observed.
  • The Lincoln Day Dinner sponsored by the Clinton County Republican Party is being postponed with no makeup date scheduled at this time. The event was scheduled for Thursday, March 19, at Arborwood.
  • The Executive Committee of the Clinton County Ministerial Association is cancelling the Lenten Breakfasts for the next three Saturdays.
  • St. Joan of Arc and St. Patrick’s School in Kokomo is doing e-learning with first day back to school on April 1.
  • St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Frankfort will have Sunday Services at 9:15 Sunday and Sunday School following for those wishing to attend.
  • Witham Health Services is under temporary Visitor Restrictions. No visitors are allowed at this time with the exception of Labor, Delivery and Post-Partum Unit where two pre-determined visitors will be allowed for each patient.
  • Also, Witham Health Service is suspending public events such as Wellness events and programs; Alzheimer, Cancer, Diabetes and Grief support groups and classes; and Breastfeeding support groups and classes.
  • Indiana University Health has put in place several visitor restrictions at its  hospitals in Lafayette, Frankfort and Monticello. No visitors are permitted at this time with the exception of Neo-natal intensive care unit, OB/delivery, Pediatrics, Emergency Department, Outpatient Surgery and Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health (one parent/guardian per patient).
  • In end of life situations, two visitors will be allowed per patient.
  • Ivy Tech Community College is delaying the continuation of current courses and the start of new 8-week courses until March 23 at which time the College will move to delivering all courses virtually. The College plans to deliver courses virtually through April 5 initially. The College will monitor and adjust this timeline as more is learned about COVID-19 nationwide and in the state.
  • The Shine 99 Women’s Fair has been postponed until Thursday, May 21. It was originally scheduled for Thursday, March 12 in Kokomo.
  • The IU Health Fair scheduled for Saturday, May 2, at the Clinton County Fairgrounds has been cancelled.
