Executive Director Of CORE Community Center Announces Resignation

CORE Community Center has announced that Executive Director Stephanie Cooper has submitted her resignation with an effective date of Feb. 26.

Cooper has served as the Executive Director of CORE for 3 years, and she led the organization through a branding shift as well as a variety of capital improvement projects. Cooper worked diligently to revive the employee culture and achieve sustainability for a long-term position in the community.

“It has been an honor to serve as the Executive Director of CORE Community Center,” Cooper said. “I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside such dedicated staff, volunteers and community partners. I am proud of what we have accomplished together and wish the organization all the best in the future.”

The CORE Board of Directors has accepted Cooper’s resignation and will begin the search for a new Executive Director immediately. A search committee will be formed and details regarding the application process will be released in the next few weeks. The board is committed to finding a dynamic and experienced leader who will continue to build upon the organization’s success and further its mission of being a place “Where Everyone Belongs.”

Board President Craig Mundell released a statement regarding Cooper’s resignation as she heads toward her next endeavors.

“We thank Stephanie for her dedicated service and leadership over the past few years,” Mundell said. “She has made significant contributions to CORE Community Center and the community as a whole. We wish her well in her future endeavors.”

Cooper is expecting to work closely with the Board and staff to ensure a smooth transition during the search process.
