The Frankfort’s Unified Neighborhoods, F.U.N, Group is gearing up for its annual Scare on the Square Trunk-or-Treat event set for Halloween night, Oct. 31 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in downtown Frankfort.
The event will span from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31 from Main Street to Walnut Street in downtown Frankfort for community members to receive candy and vie for prizes.
The F.U.N Scare on the Square event will primarily operate as a trunk-or-treat event this year with the group seeking community members willing to decorate their trunk for a chance to win prizes for “Best Trunks” in the amount of $250 for first-place, $150 for second-place and $100 for third-place.
The group requested that participants register with one of the members by this Thursday, Oct. 24 to ensure that the space utilized for the Scare on the Square is reserved for the participant, and those who register later than the date may be welcomed if space remains available.
In addition to the trunk-or-treat, the group is requesting the donation of candy to be distributed to the suspected hundreds of community members lining the streets of downtown Frankfort.
