Fair Council to Receive Funding from Community Foundation

The Clinton County Fair Council has received word from the Community Foundation of Clinton County that the fair council’s recent grant request has been approved in the maximum amount of $17,500.  The grant’s writer, Skip Davis, says, “this is a matching grant therefore other financial resources must be brought into the mix.”

Long-term, the fair council wants to locate new LED signs at the northwest and southwest corners of the fairgrounds as well as at the Horseman’s entrance.

According to Davis the potential of these signs is to not only promote activities at the fairgrounds, but to be used for severe weather and other emergency situations which the community might face.

During the coming days Clinton County Fair Council members will be meeting to select from several bids, and prepare for the next steps in this project.

The Clinton County Fair Council is a 501©3 not-for-profit organization and all contributions are considered tax deductable.
