Fair Council to Receive SIA Foundation Grant

The SIA Foundation will present to the Clinton County Fair Council a check for $6,195 to cover the cost of a new commercial gas range for the kitchen in the 4-H Community Building. Sara May of the SIA Foundation made the announcement of the spring round of grants Thursday afternoon. The presentation of the grant funds will be made during an awards ceremony on Tuesday, June 5 at 10 a.m. at the SIA plant in Lafayette.

Fair Council member Skip Davis wrote the grant application. Davis said, “The purpose of changing out the present gas range is to insure users of the kitchen in the 4-H Community Building have fewer problems with lighting the oven.” The present range is pilot light driven.  The new range will have a glow starter.
