Fall Tax Sale Scheduled for October 9 at Library

According to Clinton County Treasurer Carol Bartley, Clinton County will hold he annual Fall Tax Sale on Wednesday, October 9, at 10 a.m. in the Skanta Theatre at the Frankfort Community Public Library. The event is being held at the library due to the construction in the Clinton County Courthouse.

As of September 24, there were 117 parcels listed for sale. Lists are available online at clintonco.com and in the Clinton County Treasurer’s Office located on the second floor of the Clinton County Courthouse.

Interested bidders can signup online now or at 9 a.m. on the day of the sale.

Property Taxes Due November 12

The due date for the second installment of property tax is Tuesday, November 12. The typical due dates for fall taxes is November 10. But that date falls on a Sunday, and the Courthouse will be closed on Monday, November 11, due to Veterans Day.

In order to avoid the long lines of taxpayers that will pay that week, please consider paying your taxes early.

The treasurer accepts cash, check, credit/debit card in the office during normal business hours of Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. You may also pay online at clintonco.com or by phone at 1-866-480-8552. A convenience fee will apply. Payments with coupon only will also be accepted at First Financial Bank in Rossville. There is also a drop box located on the north side of the Courthouse square.
