Festivals of Clinton County Featured on State Guide Cover

This is the cover of the 2019 Indiana Festival Guide which features the Festivals of Clinton County.

The just released 2019 Indiana Festival Guide features five of the Festivals of Clinton County on the cover much to the delight of Frankfort Main Street Executive Director Kim Stevens.

“We’re very excited, very proud,” said Stevens. “We’re very proud of our community and our festivals. We have a good turnout at each one of them and our communities support that. We’re looking forward to record numbers of attendance this year.”

Stevens said they are focusing on the Celebration of Lights for the Christmas season at TPA Park this year and next. Also on the cover is the Kirklin Arts and Antique Festival, Rossville’s Summers End Festival, Frankfort Oktoberfest and the Frankfort Hot Dog Festival.

Stevens was asked how they made it on the cover.

“It happened to come up in our region (this year) and I spoke up and said we would be interested in doing that,” she said. “It has to go through a process and has to be voted on as well as go through state tourism as well. They approved it and so, here we are.”

Stevens said 500,000 copies of the festival guide are distributed across the state.

“I believe that’s going to help us quite a bit,” said Stevens. “Every festival that has been on the cover to date has doubled their attendance and success since they’ve been on the cover. We’re really looking forward to that.”

Those who are interested in picking up a copy of the guide can pick one up at the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce in downtown Frankfort.
