FHS Boys’ Golf Team Takes Triangular in Danville

Frankfort’s Kasey Klecz faces the long and treacherous par 5, 501-yard fourth hole at Twin Bridges Golf Club in Danville. The Hot Dogs won the meet against Lebanon and Danville.

The Frankfort High School boys’ golf team posted their best team score of the season at 185 Wednesday in beating both Lebanon (198) and Danville (199) at Twin Bridges Golf Club in Danville.

Simon Weber led the Hot Dogs and was match medalist with a 43. JT Whitlock was next at 46 followed by Kasey Klecz 47 and Riley Romanski 49.

On April 30, Frankfort visited Coyote Crossing Golf Club in West Lafayette, the site of the upcoming sectional, and came out of the short end in a match against Harrison led by medalist Nic Hoffman, who shot a 2-under 34. Harrison won the match 157 to 190.

Whitlock led FHS with 43 followed by Weber 46, Romanski 50 and Camden Cesare 51. JV scoring for the Hot Dogs was Ramsey Mitchell 52, Drew Grismer 55, Sam Wilson 59 and Reece Mitchell 63.

On April 26, the Hot Dogs took second in a triangular meet at the Frankfort Commons with Tri-West and Crawfordsville. Tri-West, led by medalist Taylor Gardner, who shot a 1-under 34, Tri-West won the meet with a score of 1568, FHS was next at 189 and Crawfordsville finished at 199.

Whitlock led FHS with a 44 followed by Weber at 45, Klecz 49 and Nolan Varner 51.

JV scores were Sam Wilson 53, Reece Mitchell 54, Ramsey Mitchell 56 and Cesare 58 for a total of 221.
