The Frankfort High School boys’ swimming team defeated Western Boone 93-67 Thursday night, while the FHS girls’ swimming team fell to Western Boone 98-87.
Event winners for the Hot Dogs were Adam Haynes (200 IM with a time of 2:49.59); Evan Jordan (50 freestyle with a personal best time of 23.05 and the 100 freestyle in a time of 54.02); Chase Thomas (1 meter diving with of score of 116.35); Patciance Dean (100 freestyle); Annie Giebel (200 butterfly with a personal best time of 1:11.70); Terry Frye (100 backstroke in a personal best time of 1:21.21); the 200 freestyle relay team of Giebel, Katie Stitsworth, Aubrey Teter and Dean; and the 200 freestyle relay team of Prestin Hillman, Riley Romanski, Artur Chalyi and Jordan.
Personal best times recorded were: Lezly Santos (dropped less than one second in the 200 freestyle and dropped 12 seconds in the 500 freestyle); Teter (dropped two seconds in the 200 freestyle); Aizik Niccum (dropped three seconds in the 200 freestyle); Hailey Campbell (dropped one second in the 200 IM and dropped less than one second in the 100 butterfly); Yuliet Valdez (dropped less than one second in the 200 IM and dropped three seconds in the 100 backstroke); Jocelyn Marcum (dropped two second in the 50 freestyle); Jordan (dropped a few milliseconds in the 50 freestyle); Giebel (dropped two seconds in the 100 butterfly); Skiila Robey (dropped two seconds in the 100 butterfly); Karely Santos (dropped three seconds in the 500 freestyle); Claire Bartley (dropped less than one second in the 200 backstroke); Frye (dropped two seconds in the 100 backstroke); Raelyn Mitchell (dropped nine seconds in the 100 breaststroke), Tyler Harness (dropped four seconds in the 500 freestyle) and Olivia Sheets (personal best score in diving of 129.55).
Wrestlers Fall to Delphi
Frankfort dropped a dual meet to Delphi 43-33 Thursday night in Frankfort. Winners for the Hot Dogs were James Ostler (120), Adolfo Vasquez-Sanchez (152), Devin Anderson (170), Ezekiel VanDeventer (182), Alex Matias (220) and Isaias Cisneros (285).
Ostler, Anderson, Matias and Cisneros won their match via pinfall.
Girls’ Basketball Downs Faith Christian
Rylee Seibert scored a career high 34 points to lead Frankfort to a 58-23 non-conference victory over Faith Christian Tuesday night in Lafayette. Frankfort led 20-7 after a quarter and 35-13 at halftime.
Freshman Boys Basketball
Frankfort scored the first 11 points of the game en route to a 42-30 victory over Crawfordsville Wednesday night in Crawfordsville. Gabe Chavez led Frankfort, 2-3, with 10 points. Joe Diaz was next with eight and Ramsey Mitchell added seven.
