Kimee Kingma scored 13 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead Frankfort to a 47-38 victory over Maconaquah in the opening game of the Class 3A girls’ basketball sectional Tuesday night at Case Arena in Frankfort.
The victory moved Frankfort into a sectional semifinal contest against West Lafayette at 6 p.m. Friday night. The winner of that game will take on the winner of the second game Friday night between Peru and Northwestern for the sectional championship Saturday night.
In the regular season finale on Jan. 26, Kingma and Rylee Seibert each scored 15 points and Emily Michael added 12 as Frankfort defeated Crawfordsville 55-30 in Crawfordsville. Frankfort trailed 13-10 after a quarter before outscoring Crawfordsville 26-7 over the next two quarters to break the game open.
