FHS Golf Team Takes Fourth at Crawfordsville Invitational

In their best outing of the season, the Frankfort High School boys’ golf team placed fourth in the Crawfordsville Invitational Saturday.

The Hot Dogs posted a team-season low of 340 with contributions from Simon Weber (81), JT Whitlock (82), Riley Romanski (87) and Kasey Klecz (90). Center Grove #2 won the event with a score of 304. Only Terre Haute North at 336 and Danville at 337 placed in front of FHS.

Next up for the Hot Dogs is the Sagamore Conference meet Saturday at Rocky Ridge Golf Club.

On Thursday, Frankfort home a triangular meet against Kokomo and Delphi at the Frankfort Commons Golf Club. Frankfort finished at 182, 30 shots better than Kokomo at 212. Delphi wound up with 215.

Whitlock led the way for FHS with a 41. Weber was next at 46, Klecz had 47 and Drew Grismer posted a 48.

JV golfers Ramsey Mitchell (50), Nolan Varnerl (51), Camden Cesare (53) and Sam Wilson (53) combined for 207 score to 265 for Kokomo’s JV.
