FHS Volleyball Sweeps Past Delphi in Non-Conference Action

Frankfort swept past Delphi in a non-conference girls’ volleyball match Thursday night in Delphi. The Lady Hot Dogs did not allow more than 15 points in any game.

Chloe Roberts had seven kills and eight digs, Ashley Timmons had four kills and 17 dogs, and Lindsey gay served well with two aces on 20 points scored to go along with 10 digs and 19 assists. Tarah Martinez and Maicee Sterett each had 11 digs, Morgan Adamson had five kills and Allyson Timmons had thee kills. Bella Colby had a solo block and two kills, Kylie Norman had an ace and three digs and Sydni Whitaker served four for four.

The team travels to Western on Wednesday night and hosts sectional opponent West Lafayette on Thursday.

The junior varsity was also victorious as they swept Delphi. Whitaker led the way with seven digs, four aces and two kills. Grace Campbell added two kills and three digs, and Emma Pillion had nine assists and four aces, Eryka Pillion had two aces and Ericka Stephenson had two aces and two kills. Jazzy Oppelt added three digs and Kylie Field had three kills.

The junior varsity is 2-1.

Frankfort Cross Country Results

The boys placed seven and the girls ninth out of 17 teams at the Danville Hokum Karem — a race where everyone has a partner in which they take turns running three one-mile loops each.

Clinton Prairie Volleyball

Clinton Prairie fell to 2-6 on the season after dropping four matches at the Huntington North Invitational on Saturday. Prairie lost to Huntington North 26-24, 25-18; to Peru 25-18, 21-25, 15-13; to Maconaquah 25-17, 25-12; and to Northridge 22-25, 25-17, 17-15.

For Prairie, leader in aces was Keyra Fisher with two; digs leader was Jalynn Gleb with 32, followed Kylee Maish with 31, Hannah Wilson 27, Syndey Swank 21, Fisher 16, Caydence Rios 11 and Victoria Florence 10; blocks leader was Swan with seven, Lexi Collins, Maish and Wilson had three each; kills leader was Maish 23 followed by Swank 14, Collins 13 an Gleb 11; assists leader was Wilson with 58.
