FHS Wins Conference Opener

Brayan Valdez pitched five strong innings and Jose Lopez led the offense with a three-run double as Frankfort won its Sagamore Conference opener with a 9-3 baseball victory Lebanon. Valdez is now 2-0.

Clinton Central Downs North Montgomery

Kortney Surber went 4 for 4 and drove in two runs to help lead Clinton Central to a 15-5 non-conference victory over North Montgomery in Michigantown.

Winning pitcher Landree Whiteman drove in three runs and had added two hits while Bridgette Royer had three RBIs and two hits. Others with two hits included Carly Davison, Emily Kocher and Kylie Riehl.

Central put the game away by scoring eight runs in the second and five in the third/

FHS Track

The boys and girls track team both had outstanding performances on  Tuesday at North Montgomery.  It was beautiful weather and the kids took advantage of the warm day to hit a bunch of new PRs.  Almost every athlete got a new personal best in at least one event.  The guys team was led by Jakob Burns who won the discus, 100m, and 200m.  The 4×1 team of Jakob Burns, Jonathan Bautista, Juan Ramos, and Troy Kimbowa also won.  The distance group had a great day with Angel Perez winning the 800, Daniel Pritchett winning the 1600 and Chris Angeles winning the 3200.  The boys 4×8 team also took first place. The 4×4 team of Garek Birge, Alex Lopez, Angel Perez, and Mauro Lopez ended the meet in exciting fashion with a dramatic finish to win. The boys moved to 4-1 on the season.

The girls team also made huge strides tonight.  Jalyn Vessels got PRs in the 100 and 200, Jocelyn Ramirez and Ella McAtee got first and third in the high jump.  Vanessa Guardado won the shot put and Anna Beardsley won the 100 hurdles.  Ashley Vasquez Rivera had a great night winning the 3200 and the girls 4×1 team won and hit a new PR. The girls 4×8 team also took first while Alina Ramirez took second in the 1600 and Noemi Garcia took second in the 800.

FHS Golfers Open Season

The FHS Hot Dog golf team opened the 2023 Season with a 197- 214 loss to Western Boone.  Medalist was LaGrange from Western Boone with a 46.  Hot Dog scores Luke  Beardsley 51, Jackson Ray 52, Harrison Kyger 55, Xavier McIntosh 56.   Hot Dogs travel Monticello to play in the Twin Lakes Invitational on Saturday.

FHS Tennis Falls to Western

Frankfort lost a 4-1 match to Western. Libby Pierce was the lone victor for FHS as she defeated Macie Lockwood in a third set tiebreaker 10-5.
