Residents interested in serving on a local school board have until noon on June 18 to file as candidates for positions that will appear on the November ballot.
According to information shared by Clinton County Red for Public Ed, there will be 11 school board seats up for election across Clinton County this fall.
To qualify for the ballot, prospective candidates must complete a petition and obtain signatures from at least 10 registered voters. The completed paperwork must be submitted by the June 18 filing deadline.
School board members play a key role in setting district policies, approving budgets, overseeing superintendents and helping guide educational priorities within their respective school corporations.
Community members interested in running for a seat are encouraged to review candidate requirements and complete the necessary paperwork before the deadline.
