A First Responder Appreciation Day and Battle of the Badges softball tournament will be held Saturday, October 3, at TPA Park in Frankfort.
The event will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1 Adrian Marks Drive and will feature a day of activities honoring local first responders.
The Battle of the Badges softball tournament will feature teams representing the Frankfort Fire Department, Clinton County Emergency Medical Services, Frankfort Police Department and Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.
The tournament schedule includes:
- 8 a.m. — Frankfort Fire Department 1 vs. Frankfort Fire Department 2
- 9:30 a.m. — FPD vs. CCSO
- 11 a.m. — Game 1 winner vs. EMS
- 12:30 p.m. — Loser 1 vs. Loser 2
- 2 p.m. — Loser 3 vs. Loser 4
- 3:30 p.m. — Winner 2 vs. Winner 3
Free food will be available while supplies last. Coffee and donuts will be served from 8 to 11 a.m., followed by lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will also include bounce houses, giveaways, music, tours of a fire truck and police car, raffle prizes and the softball tournament.
The community is invited to attend and show support for local first responders.
