First Wing Jet Center at Indianapolis to Host 13th Annual Open House and Fly-In, in Partnership with Wings Over Indy

First Wing Jet Center (formerly Montgomery Aviation), the fixed base operator at Indianapolis Executive Airport in Zionsville, will host the 13th Annual Open House and Fly-In on Saturday, June 22.

For this year’s event, First Wing Jet Center has partnered with the Commemorative Air Force’s Wings Over Indy event. This will bring new and exciting aircraft for both rides and display, as well as other unique aviation elements to the continually growing event. Additionally, the schedule has been expanded with a pancake breakfast starting at 7:30 a.m., family-friendly events and activities from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., and a new Hops ‘n Props Veterans Dinner from 5 – 8:30 p.m. (21 and over).

“We’re excited about the new partnership this year with Wings Over Indy and the Commemorative Air Force,” said Sean White, VP and General Manager of First Wing Jet Center. “This collaboration will enhance the experience for attendees, bringing more aircraft and aviation activities to the event — in addition to the family-friendly activities we’ve always included.”

Proceeds from the event benefit Down Syndrome Indiana (DSI). Since 2006, First Wing/Montgomery Aviation has raised more than $190,000 for DSI through the Open House and Fly-In. Proceeds from the Hops ‘n Props event will benefit the Commemorative Air Force.

“We look forward to hosting this event every year,” White said. “It’s important for our team to give back and make a positive impact on a great organization like DSI. We also enjoy sharing the excitement of aviation with the community. By opening our doors, we help our neighbors learn more about the airport and how it is a significant asset right in their backyard.”
