Five People Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash on SR 26

On Saturday, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a three-car personal injury crash on State Road 26 near County Road 200 East.

A vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, and rear-ended a second vehicle causing it to flip multiple times.  The vehicle then proceeded to crash into a third vehicle head-on.  Five people were injured, including a two-year-old passenger that was transported to Riley Hospital in stable condition.  All others were treated and released.

The investigation is continuing due to signs of impairment with the driver of the vehicle causing the crash.  Results will be forwarded to the Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office for possible charges.
