Flag Day Event Held at Camp Cullom

In honor of Flag Day the Frankfort Marines held their Flag Burning Ceremony June 11 at Camp Cullom.
Frankfort Marines present where Doug Montgomery, Jim Guckien, LeRoy Zook, Jon Hodgen and son Mason. Bob Mantel from the Lafayette Detachment helped.
Troop 336 of Mulberry Scout Master Rusty McGill and Scout Owen McGill were a big help. Hoppy Bray Camp Cullom Director and VFW Commander helped organized the Ceremony. Over 1,000 flags were retired.

  1. It’s an honor to give each flag a proper retirement by fire. The scouts are always a great help. If you need to have a worn or tattered flag retired put it in the flag drop boxes at Veterans Park on Washington St north of the courthouse or at the VFW on Main St or drop off at the American Legion on Clinton St.
