Flash Flood Watch Issued for Clinton County This Weekend

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Flash Flood Watch for portions of central Indiana, east central Indiana, north central Indiana, south central Indiana, southeast Indiana, southwest Indiana and west central Indiana beginning Saturday morning and running through 8 p.m. Sunday.

Included in the watch is Clinton County along with the following counties Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Clay, Daviess, Decatur, Delaware, Fountain, Greene, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Knox, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Martin, Montgomery, Morgan, Monroe, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Sullivan, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion, Vigo and Warren.

Showers are likely Friday with widespread showers expected Saturday into Sunday. The rain could be heavy at time, especially Saturday into Sunday. The rain on Friday will help saturate the ground, so the weekend rain could lead to flash flooding. There remains some uncertainty on exactly where the heaviest rain will fall.
