The National Weather Service in Indianapolis says the Flash Flood Watch for portions of central Indiana, east central Indiana, north central Indiana and west central Indiana remains in effect until 8 p.m. Sunday night. Clinton County is included in this watch.
Other counties still under the Flash Flood Watch are Boone, Carroll, Delaware, Fountain, Hamilton, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion and Warren.
Much of central Indiana will receive four to over six inches of rain with locally higher amounts by Sunday night. This is in addition to the heavy rainfall that has already occurred in some locations since Thursday.
The NWS has also issued a Flood Warning for South Fork Wildcat Creek near Lafayette from late Saturday night until further notice. Creek expected to rise above flood stage by Saturday night and major flooding is a possibility on local roads and some residential areas.
