Flood Warning Issued for Clinton and Tippecanoe Counties

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Flood Warning for Southern Tippecanoe County in west central Indiana and Northwestern Clinton County in central Indiana until 3:45 p.m.

At 12:51 p.m., Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain were causing flooding. Some minor flooding is ongoing in the Lafayette area. One to two inches of rain has fallen in the last hour.

Some locations that will experience flooding include Lafayette, West Lafayette, Rossville, Shadeland, Dayton, Mulberry, Clarks Hill and Purdue University.

Motorists are advised to turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
