The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a flood warning for Carroll County in North Central Indiana, Clinton County in Central Indiana and Howard County in Central Indiana until 5:45 p.m. Thursday.
At 2:49 p.m., Doppler Radar indicated heavy rain that will cause flooding. Up to 2.5 inches of rain has fallen since Thursday morning.
Some locations that will experience flooding include Kokomo, Frankfort, Delphi, Greentown, Flora, Rossville, Mulberry, Russiaville, Colfax, Camden, Burlington, Michigantown, Yeoman and Indian Heights.
Motorists should use precautionary/preparedness actions which means turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
