Flooding Discussed At Drainage Board Meeting

Some properties near the Hannah Kessler watershed near the Dirtbuster Car Wash and Goodwill area on the east side of Frankfort has seen sinkholes developing lately. Surveyor Dan Sheets says if a sinkhole develops on private property, they can easily fix those but where they develop underneath parking lots could be a real problem if not dealt with soon.

Flooding is causing some concerns in Clinton County. Sheets says county road 580 west is flooded as is 700 west. He’s meeting with a crew this week to see if they can figure a better drainage option for the area. Sheets says 700 west has a similar problem. The board also heard from Co-Alliance in Scircleville who is looking to expand their fertilizer division.
