The 46th Annual Flora Hog Jog is slated to kick off on Saturday, June 15 at the Flora Community Park with options for a 10K run, a 2-mile run, a 2-mile walk and a 500-meter runt jog for kids aged 2 to 7 with a live radio broadcast on WILO 96.9 FM, 1570 AM and Boone 102.7 FM.
The live remote broadcast has been made possible by Rinehart Realtors and Auctioneer, Mann Chevrolet, Collisions Unlimited, Hufty’s Alignment and Radiator Services and Fire Pizza in Flora.
The Hog Jog will include numerous free perks with every participant receiving a free hot pork burger sandwich from the Indiana Packers Corporation, free watermelon provided by Flora SUPERVALU for all participants and free ice cream to all runt runners provided by the Flora Lions Club. A pancake and sausage breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. by the Carroll FFA.

The top overall male and female finisher in the 10k run and 2-mile run categories will each receive a plaque. Ribbons will be given to the first finishers in each age division, and ribbons for second through tenth in the age groups of 12 and under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95-99, 100-104. An award ceremony will follow each race.
The entry fee to participate in the Flora Hog Jog 10K run and 2-mile run will be $27 for entries postmarked or received by June 7. Community members are asked not to mail in their registration after June 7. Race day registration will be $32, and no refunds will be granted. Shirts may not be exchanged for other sizes until the second race has ended.
The 2-mile walk is a non-competitive event that takes participants on a course through town. The two-mile walk is free to register with no added shirt or $12 to register for a Hog Jog t-shirt. Registration will be available on the day of the race.
Registration for the 500-meter runt jog will be $12 and includes a t-shirt or free without a t-shirt. Registration will be available on the day of the race.
Online registration for all will close on June 7 at 11:59 p.m.
