Mrs. Florence Heath, 88, of Lebanon, Indiana, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Bridgewater Healthcare in Carmel.
Florence was born February 16, 1936, in Columbus, Indiana. On May 1, 1954, she was united in marriage to Charles Richard Heath in Milledgeville. They had shared 39 loving years together before he passed away on March 9, 1994.
She was a graduate of Pinnell High School. A dedicated homemaker through the years, she was devoted to raising her family and taking care of their home. While her daughter participated in girl scouts, Florence volunteered as a leader and enjoyed helping at Camp Delwood and Camp Gallahue, both in Indiana.
Having loved the Lord, Florence had tremendous faith. She served her community at The Caring Center in Lebanon for several years. She enjoyed traveling with her sister, Maxine, to Hawaii and throughout Europe, including the entire country of Ireland which was her family’s homeland.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Michael Hoover; three grandchildren; four great granddaughters and three great grandsons.
In addition to her parents and husband, Florence was preceded in death by her sons, Gerald Heath and Jeff Heath; three sisters and two brothers, one of which was her twin; and Mildred Edlin who was like a second mother to Florence.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis for their thoughtfulness and care of Florence.
Funeral Services are planned for 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of the service. Interment will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
