Lebanon Community School Corporation announced that through Fluor Corporation’s $1,000 donation, which was distributed through the Lebanon Education Foundation, Harney Elementary will host a STEM Movie Night at the local Lebanon 7 movie theater this spring.
Fluor released that the support was inspired by STEM teacher Matt Farrell, who spent hours before and after school building and mentoring Harney Elementary’s Robotics Teams. Following a recent visit to Harney, Fluor was met with a proposal for the STEM Movie Night from Farrell as he hoped the night would further engage students and families in STEM beyond the classroom.
“We deeply appreciate our community partnership with Fluor Corporation and the invaluable resources they provide to pour into our students across the district,” Harney Elementary Principal Dr. Janet Dye said. “Opportunities like this STEM Movie Night not only support our students academically but also inspire them to explore the possibilities of STEM in a fun and engaging way.”
More details about the STEM Movie Night will be released in the near future.
