Fly On The Ford Tri-Motor At Frankfort Airport

Embark on a journey back to aviation’s golden age, when the Ford Tri-Motor became the first airplane put into commercial airline service by the United States.

The Tri-Motor Plane will be stationed at KFKR Frankfort-Clinton County Airport Thursday August 15 through Sunday August 18.

The visit is sponsored by EAA, the same group that puts on the largest gathering of airplanes and pilots in the world at Osh Kosh Wisconsin.  Local EAA members will be on hand to assist passengers willing to take the excursion in the vintage aircraft.

There is no charge to view the aircraft.

Pre-book cost is $72.00 for adults and $52 for children. Adult walk-up price is $77.00.

To pre-book, call 877-952-5395 or visit: flytheford.org.

Airport Manager Matt Hankins stands by the vintage airliner. The Tri Motor aircraft will be offering rides this week through Sunday.
