Food for Fines at Frankfort Community Public Library

This November, the Frankfort Community Public Library is once again offering “Food for Fines.” November 16-30. You may bring in non-expired, non-perishable food items to the Frankfort Library and branches in Michigantown, Mulberry, and Rossville. For each item donated, you may receive $2 in waived fines up to $10 total. Food for Fines applies to overdue fines only and not replacement item fees or fines that have gone to the collection agency. You can only waive current fines; credit will not be given for donated items. Please do not donate condiments or food in glass containers.

All donated items will be given to the Salvation Army or local food banks. Everyone is encouraged to donated non-perishable food items this holiday season, not just those patrons with fines. Thank you for donating!

The library is currently open Mon., Wed., Fri., and Sat., 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Tues. and Thurs. noon to 7 p.m. The library and branches will be closed Nov. 26-29 for Thanksgiving. Masks are required in the library, and please keep a 6-foot distance from others while you are here.
