Mayor Judy Sheets, announced Tuesday that Bart Kraning will no longer serve as Parks Superintendent with the City of Frankfort as of December 12.

The City appreciates the work Kraning did for the Parks Department during the course of his employment and wish him the best on his next endeavors. Jason Forsythe, the current Street Superintendent, will take on the added duty of overseeing the city parks as Interim Parks
Superintendent.

“Jason has done a tremendous job as Street Superintendent,” said Mayor Judy Sheets. “I am confident in his capabilities to serve as the Interim Parks Superintendent while we determine the next steps for the department. He had been asked to serve in this role previously and did a
tremendous job for both our Parks and Street Departments.”

Forsythe has served as Street Superintendent since April 2015. His responsibilities as Street Superintendent include street and alley maintenance, trash collection, brush pickup and leaf collection.

In his role as Interim Parks Superintendent, he will manage park operations, including overseeing construction of the TPA Park Aquatic Center. “I am excited to take on this additional role,” Forsythe said. “I have enjoyed working for the City, and I look forward to making my contribution to the Parks Department.”
