Four County Partners With YMCA

Four County has partnered with the Clinton County Family YMCA to further expand the continuum of care provided. Already rooted in the community through school-based services, Four County provides mental health and substance use programs to Rossville Consolidated Schools, Clinton Prairie School Corporation, and The Frankfort Crossing.

“It is with great excitement that Four County is entering this partnership with Clinton County YMCA” provides Lisa Willis-Gidley, Vice President of Operations with Four County. “This partnership will offer the local YMCA programming with on-site mental health services, as well as offering professional development to YMCA staff. This partnership will help to reduce stigma, increase awareness and provide mental health support to those in YMCA programs.”

Upon receiving a grant from The Healthy Communities of Clinton County Coalition, the YMCA approached Four County with the goal to address issues of health in the community and to build a healthier workforce. As a new service provider to the Family YMCA, Four County will staff a Skills
Trainer on site approximately 20 hours a week.

Services will include:

  • School-based programs to the early education and afterschool program
  • Parenting programming to all members of the community
  • Professional development programs to YMCA staff

“The Clinton County Family YMCA is thrilled to partner with Four County, Bauer Family Resources and Healthy Communities to bring mental health support to our members, staff and community,” states Emilee Norris, Executive Director with the Clinton County YMCA. “Through this partnership, we will be able to have a Skills Trainer from Four County in the classrooms and facility to aid in the pursuit of mental health. I am proud of the staff and partners for making this much-needed support available to our Y family.”

Four County continues to grow and meet the need for rural behavioral health specialists throughout North Central Indiana with the core values of Better Care, Better Together.
