Francisco De Asis Castañeda Avendaño, 49, of Frankfort, passed away July 8, 2026 in his home. He was born on May 19, 1977 in Veracruz, Mexico to Francisco Castañeda Sosa and Maria Luisa Avendaño Ortela.
He was the owner and operator of FCA Painting. Francisco loved family time, his girls were his pride and joy – they were his world. He was a very generous man that loved helping anyone. He loved soccer and basketball and was an avid sports goer for Frankfort athletics. He took pride in being able to donate to the county schools.
Surviving are his daughters: Karina (Anson) Barrett of Forest, Klarissa Castañeda of Frankfort and Kloe Castañeda of Frankfort, siblings: Martha Victoria Castañeda Zaragoza, Maria Magdalena Castañeda Zaragoza, Maribel Castañeda Avendaño (Aurelio Marcial-Alejandro), Ericka Castañeda Avendaño, and Carlos Castañeda Avendaño, nieces and nephews: Angel Marcial, Alejandro Marcial, Eileen Jhoanna Marcial, Esau Marcial, Toro Marcial, and the Castañeda family, along with his beloved cats: Panchito and Nala, as well as many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and close cousin: Fernando Encarnacion-Parra.
Friends may visit 4-8 p.m. Tuesday July 14, 2026 and on Wednesday July 15, 2026 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main Street, Frankfort. The funeral service with Pastor Leo Gonzalez officiating will begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Green Lawn Cemetery, Frankfort.
