Frank “Jeff” McQueen

Frank “Jeff” McQueen, 53, of Frankfort, passed away on August 22, 2019 at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.  Jeff was born July 11, 1966, in Frankfort, to the late Frank J. and Retha (Ayres) McQueen.

Jeff was a self-employed journeyman carpenter. He, like his brothers, had followed in his father’s footsteps to work in construction. He was a Mr. Fix-it organizer with OCD tendencies and also a licensed ordained minister. Jeff had attended Frankfort Senior High School and later achieved his GED.

Surviving Jeff are his children, Jamie (Matt) McBee, Mick Swift, and Kori McQueen of Frankfort, and Frankie McQueen, of Lafayette; brothers, Michael (Phyllis) McQueen, of Frankfort and  Steven (Martha) McQueen, of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren, Mattie, Bryce, Cameron, Mackenzie, Kyden and Missiah and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his girlfriend, Linda Allen; his former spouse, Glenda Lovett-mother of Jamie and former partner, Sheila Swift, mother of Mick, Kori and Frankie and longtime friends Brent (Kelly) Snyder and his family, Samantha, Breanna, Landen, Maddie and Michael.

In addition to his parents, Jeff is preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Alter, and brothers, Terry McQueen and David McQueen.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 26, 2019, at Genda Funeral Home from 4:00 to the start of memorial service at 6:00 p.m.  Pastor David Fry will officiate.  Memorials in Jeff’s name may be made to help the family with final expenses.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com
