Frank Joyce , 90, of Clarks Hill, passed away May 17, 2022 at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN. He was born on May 29, 1931 in Westminster, SC to Sam and Ethel (Davis) Joyce. He married Bessie Harr on February 19, 1954 and she preceded him in death on November 27, 2010.
Frank was a 1949 graduate of Frankfort Senior High School and served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1955. He was a crane operator at ALCOA for 34 years, retiring on October 1, 1983. His memberships include the American Legion Post #12, the Eagles Lodge Aerie #976, and the ALCOA Retiree’s Club. An avid New York Yankees fan, he enjoyed baseball, fishing, and playing Euchre at the Frankfort Eagles.
Surviving are his Daughter: Janet (Edward) Fisher of Mulberry; Son: Jeff Joyce of Darlington; 5 Grandchildren: Valerie (Matt) Bennett of Mulberry, Loren (Jared) Wilcheck of Kentucky, Lindsay Joyce of Kentucky, Logan Joyce of Kentucky, and Justin (Jesse) Joyce of Kiowa, CO; 4 Great-Grandchildren: Taylor, Trevor, Ava, and Zoe. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2022 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort. Friends may visit 1-4 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Frankfort.
