Frankfort 12U Baseball Team Snags State Champion Title

The Frankfort 12U baseball team has officially secured their State Champion Title last night after facing off in the competitive 2024 Town and Country Tournament.

The Frankfort 12U team served as the underdogs heading into the State Championship faceoff against Alexandria as they battled through the elimination bracket to secure their spot in finals. The team battled back on Sunday as they lost a difficult game against Alexandria in the morning, which lit a fire in the players to continue their heightened level of play. The spark never died as the team faced off against Bunker Hill where they claimed victory, eventually facing off against Alexandria once more to secure their position in the State Championship in Monticello. After battling back to have their chance for victory, the team rose to the occasion and brought home the title.

Following their victory, the players were escorted by deputies and officers from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office and the Frankfort Police Department through downtown, around the square and back to the TPA Park Little League diamond to end their victory tour.
