FHS Boys, Alanis Qualify for Semi-State Cross Country Meet at Harrison Regional

Frankfort moved on to Semi-State competition as did senior Carina Alanis, who broke her own school record Saturday in the Harrison Regional cross county meet on Saturday.

The boys finished fifth with 132 points just three points behind fourth-place finisher McCutcheon.

Alanis lowered her school record time to 19:25.6 as she finished fifth overall.

Several individuals from Clinton County also qualified for Semi-State. Rossville senior Preston Padgett won the boys’ race in a time of 16:29.9. Teammates Nick Shedron and Charlie Thompson also qualified.

Clinton Prairie freshman Hayden Kemple and junior Neven Chasteen also qualified by finishing eighth and ninth, respectively.

On the girls’ side, sophomore Ariel Abbott qualified for next Saturday placing 15th overall.

The Semi-State is next Saturday at New Prairie.
