Frankfort Christmas Parade Winners Announced

The Frankfort Main Street Christmas Parade attracted area families to Downtown Frankfort to enjoy decorations, candy, wonderful December weather and about 55 parade units celebrating the Christmas season in Clinton County.

Frankfort Main Street Director Kim Stevens said the event takes about 20 volunteers to host. “Thanks to everyone who helped and came to the parade”.  “I am just glad we could be out again” this year, said Stevens.

Parade kicked off with the Frankfort Police Department Squad Cars and Motorcycles followed by the Frankfort Fire Department snorkel truck. Ken Hartman hosted the broadcast on Hoosierland TV Saturday Afternoon.

The winners this year:

  • First Place: City of Frankfort Parks Department
  • Second Place: Frankfort Middle School Color Guard and Marching Band
  • Third Place: Zonta “Says No to Violence Against Women”

Santa waves to parade goers from his convertible. Santa will start seeing area children Monday December 6th at the Prairie Creek Park Events Center starting at 6PM.

 

Santa’s Frankfort visits start Monday at 6 PM at the Prairie Creek Park Events Center in Downtown Frankfort just Northeast of the square.
