Frankfort Community Public Library Accepting Nominations for Outstanding Women of Clinton County

Do you know a high school student in Clinton County that goes above and beyond?  Is she making a difference in people’s lives and her community?  If so, please consider nominating her for the Outstanding Women of Clinton County Award.  One award winner from each high school will be recognized at the Second Annual Women’s Expo at the Frankfort Community Public Library on March 17, 2018. Homeschooled students are also eligible. Please email your Outstanding Women of Clinton County recommendations to Jamie Anderson at [email protected].

Tell us, in 300 words or less, what makes this high school aged woman outstanding!  Please be specific in your recommendation letters, as winners are selected by their impact and accomplishments, and some submissions may be read at the award ceremony.  Please do not forget to include contact information for the person being nominated.  The deadline to submit nominations is Feb. 9, 2018. The award ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. on March 17, 2018 in the Elizabeth O’Rear Skanta Theatre.

The Women’s Expo is a celebration of women and women-owned businesses. Our goal is for this to be an empowering experience for everyone in attendance (that includes men). The Expo kicks off at 10 a.m. with Leslie Goddard bringing Amelia Earhart to life, followed by a presentation by three-time Alaskan Iditarod participant Karen Land at 1 p.m.  Over 20 women-owned businesses will participate from Clinton County and around Indiana. Booths will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Artwork by Christina Hollering will be on display in the Anna & Harlan Hubbard Gallery throughout the month of March.
