Frankfort Community Public Library Launches ‘How To Write Your Own Obituary’ Class Set For Feb. 22

According to the Frankfort Community Public Library, family historians are frequently frustrated by the details that are left out of their ancestors’ obituaries as they are written by those around them rather than themselves.

The library encouraged community members to keep their obituary from being a disappointment by attending the “How to Write Your Own Obituary” class on Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. with Genealogy Manager Jill Garrison, who will talk about what details to include in an obituary to ensure that it remains genealogically significant.

The class will be held in the lower level meeting room. The cost is $2, and registration is required. To register, call 765-654-8746, visit myfcpl.org/calendar or visit the library. For more information, contact Jill Garrison at 765-654-8746 at extension 1137 or [email protected].
