The Frankfort community will come together on August 31 for an evening of remembrance, awareness and hope as local organizations mark International Overdose Awareness Day.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. at Prairie Creek Park and will feature a guest speaker, a time of remembrance and light refreshments.
The event is being organized through a partnership involving Trinity Hope Center, Healthy Communities of Clinton County Coalition, and IU Health Arnett, Frankfort and White Memorial.
International Overdose Awareness Day provides an opportunity to remember those who have lost their lives to overdose, support those grieving and raise awareness about the ongoing impact of substance use and overdose.
