Frankfort DECA Makes the Stage at State Competition

Frankfort DECA attended the Indiana DECA State Career Development Conference in downtown Indianapolis on March 4-6. Over 2,100 Indiana high school students attended the event.

Frankfort DECA had nine of their 15 competitors make the stage.

Frankfort had two individuals qualify for the International DECA Competition in Atlanta. They are Simon Weber and Ludvin Cambara, both for the DECA Stock Market Game.

Frankfort also had several individuals receive state-level recognition and state conference achievements. They are Diana Mora, Jaimee Valdez and Dylan Smith for Virtual Business Challenge RETAIL; Wendy Ceja for Virtual Business Challenge RESTAURANT; and Jordan Ortiz, Erick Guardado and Alex Matias for Virtual Business Challenge SPORTS.

Also, Jordan Ortiz finished sixth overall in Financial Consulting; Yaquelynn Pozos received a medallion for exam score and placed in a role play presentation for Apparel & Accessories; Sam Wilson received a medallion for exam score in Business Services Marketing; and Isaac Hunter received a medallion for exam score and placed third in a role play presentation for Marketing Communications.

Frankfort DECA received three International DECA Awards which qualified three students to attend the International DECA Conference. Frankfort was also presented awards for Global Entrepreneurship, Chapter Promotion and Chapter Community Service.
