Members of Frankfort Firefighters Local 705 are inviting the community to come together in remembrance during the 2nd Annual 9/11 Memorial Walk on Friday, September 11.
The memorial walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will provide an opportunity for firefighters, community members and local residents to walk together in remembrance and reflection.
The event honors the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives during the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, as well as the first responders and others who continue to carry the physical and emotional impact of that day.
“Your presence helps us remember, honor, and ensure we never forget,” the organization said in announcing the event.
The 2nd Annual 9/11 Memorial Walk will take place Friday, September 11, at 8:30 a.m. Community members are encouraged to join Frankfort firefighters as they remember and honor the lives forever changed by September 11.
