Frankfort Football Coach Justin Kinzie Resigns

Justin Kinzie announced his resignation as Frankfort’s football coach on Tuesday evening.

“After meeting with my athletic director yesterday, I have resigned as head coach at Frankfort,” Kinzie said. “It’s been an honor and a privilege to be here for the eight months I have, and I’m excited for the future of this program.”

Kinzie coached the Hot Dogs for one season, finishing 0-10.

Frankfort has struggled to find success after finishing 5-5 in 2020. Since then, the Hot Dogs are a combined 4-45 over five seasons.

Athletic Director Jeff Irwin, still in his first year with the Hot Dogs, will be tasked with hiring a new football coach for the first time. Kinzie was hired by former Athletic Director Ed Niehaus.
